Judi O'Malley
Judi O’ Malley is a patient centric, customer focused and commercially driven CEO and Co Founder of Spiorad Medical.
Judi began her career as a Clinical Vascular Physiologist with the national Health Service Executive HSE. She then went on to study IP Law with The Law Society Ireland and Project Management with Smurfit Business School.
Judi then moved to industry where she gained commercial experience in sales and marketing roles with leading cardiovascular multinationals, Medtronic, Abbott, and J&J managing their portfolio across the UK and Ireland. It was here she saw a gap in the market for an efficient large French vascular closure device and formed Spiorad with the backing of her previous physician customers and end users of these devices.
Dr Samer Arnous is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist in University Hospital Limerick and private sector with over 20 years clinical experience, in complex coronary and structural heart interventions.
Graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, followed by cardiology specialist training in Ireland 2 years of research on stem cell therapy in dilated and ischemic cardiomyopathy, awarded MD degree from University College London Subspecialty training in complex coronary intervention in the UK St Bartholomews, London and Manchester.Structural Heart intervention in Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen. [One of the largest TAVI centers in Europe].
Over 50 publications in peer reviewed journals and book chapters in coronary and structural interventions, inherited cardiomyopathies and stem cell therapy. Extensive end user experience with various large-bore closure devices, their usage and failures, from animal lab validation studies to patient follow up.
